About The Wild Grain Cafe

The Wild Grain Café is a neighborhood favorite known for its gourmet sandwiches, vibrant breakfast toasts, and irresistible selection of freshly baked sweet and savory treats. On Fridays, the café transforms for its much-anticipated pizza pop-up, serving wood-fired pizzas topped with creative combinations influenced by local and season ingredients.

Located at 3409 S Texas Ave, Bryan, TX 77802, The Wild Grain Cafe operates as a cafe serving Bryan in Texas. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Coffee in the United States is served by three kinds of places: national chains with drive-thrus and mobile ordering, independent neighborhood cafes that double as a workspace or a meeting spot, and specialty shops that roast their own beans or buy single-origin lots and brew them by pour-over, espresso or cold brew. Most open between 6 and 7 a.m. on weekdays, slightly later on weekends, and the busiest hour is the commute rush before 9. A drip coffee runs a few dollars, espresso drinks and specialty pours more, and tipping a dollar or a percentage on the card reader is customary but not required. Nearly every cafe offers free Wi-Fi, though some limit laptop seating at peak times or on weekends, and outlets are often the scarce resource.

The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. Typical hours are 8 am–3 pm. It is closed on Monday, Tuesday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (979) 450-7431. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is wildgraincafe.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Customers rate it 4.8 out of 5 on Google across 139 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded cafes in Bryan.

This was my first time here, and I’ll definitely be back! One of the things I really liked is that they don’t use an app for ordering. You can call in your order and talk to an actual person, or if you’re dining in, you simply grab a menu from the counter, find a table, and when you’re ready, head back to the counter to place your order and pay. It was simple and honestly refreshing. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the person behind the counter, which made us feel welcome right away. Everything is made fresh, so there’s a short wait, but it’s absolutely worth it. We ordered a pizza and a sandwich. The sandwich comes with your choice of a side salad or chips, and I chose the side salad. I was honestly impressed because so many restaurants serve a basic side salad with iceberg lettuce, shredded cheese, and maybe a couple of tomatoes. Here, it was a fresh mix of greens with tomatoes and onions, and you can choose either a vinaigrette or ranch dressing. My favorite part was the crunchy, crumbled croutons sprinkled on top—they added the perfect texture and made the salad feel like it was actually made with care instead of being an afterthought. The sandwich was served on

The Wild Grain Cafe was fantastic! I had the Purple Grain sandwich and Tomato Basil Soup. The Purple Grain was a delicious, high-protein choice, and the house focaccia really elevated the sandwich. The soup was flavorful and paired perfectly with it. The cafe has tons of natural light and a welcoming atmosphere, including a kid corner for families. What truly made this a 5-star experience was the customer service. The staff member who helped me was attentive, friendly, and did a great job explaining the menu. I'll definitely be back!

Genuinely the best meal in college station!! Every sandwich I’ve tried has been phenomenal (I have to say the pesto is my favorite, but it’s like ranking a bunch of 11/10s against one another)! The chocolate chip cookie is the best I’ve ever had and my entire family shares the sentiment. The pizza is only on Fridays and Saturdays but it is so so good as well!! I recommend swapping the chips for the tomato soup (also the best in town!!) for the best meal possible. On top of the amazing food, the vibe and friendly waitstaff make you feel so welcome. This place is for all the focaccia lovers but I honestly couldn’t imagine anyone not enjoying it, it’s truly that good!!

Run, don’t walk to Wild Grain Cafe in Bryan, Texas. Amazing sandwiches and pastries. The bread…wow. The owner, Tanner, shared the joy of his trade through his smile, sincerity, and his amazing service. You’ve got to try the “That’s my Jam” sandwich. Great blend of sweet and salty. If only we lived in the area, we’d try everything on the menu. A must with in College Station/Bryan.

LOVE these small locally owned shops that are coming to the BCS area! The Wild Grain offers fantastic food and the atmosphere that makes you want to sit and stay. They have a little corner with kids, perfect for playing while parents eat. The owner is a great guy; you can tell when people put their heart and soul into their business, and the effort has clearly paid off. The vibe reminds me of some sandwich/coffee shops in the Austin area, so it’s nice to get a little taste of that here!
